A few weeks ago, Jonathan got laid off from his job-actually it was the week before Parker was born. Not that there is ever good timing for something like that but it sure did make things very stressful right before Parker was born. Needless to say, Parker has been such a huge blessing in our lives right now. We are so thankful for him and his sweet spirit in our home. We are also so thankful for Logan and Kylie and for their-most of the time-sweet spirits as well. They sure love Parker and that is so neat to see. The other day Logan asked Jon if Parker was still gonna be with us when he got a little bit bigger. I thought that was so sweet-it was almost as if he was afraid that he would be with us always. I am sure later on when Parker is getting into Logan's toys, he might have different feelings. Logan and Kylie must kiss him at least 20 times a day. Anyways, this is not to brag about my kids, but just to point out that seeing these sweet moments makes our trail with Jon not having a job so much easier. So Jon is still looking, and I am so proud of him because he is seriously looking non-stop every day. He is such a good man and hard worker. I know he will find something. So that being said, Jon has been home which has been really nice. I have enjoyed being with him and being able to have someone help with the other 2 kids while I take care of Parker or vice versa. The kids especially like having him around. We were able to go to the park the other day for a picnic and play for awhile. Logan swinging himself for the first time.
Kylie swinging-of course-what else is there to do at a park?
And since Jon is not working right now, that is when things go wrong. So our Yukon broke down last week and had to be towed to my Dad's shop. Thank goodness he has his own shop and can help us out with the vehicle. Then the other day, with all the rain we have gotten, our ceiling was leaking. So that needed to be fixed. Jon was able to patch it up for pretty cheap so that was nice.
So while Jon was fixing things, I finally worked on a few things in the house. One was this sign I made. I am not very crafty at all, but I liked it and thought I would post it. It is so nice to finally have it up-I have had it forever and not done anything with it.
So that is what we have been up too. Nothing too exciting, but it is nice to know at the end of the day, this is what I can be grateful for...

Oh Kim! First off, Parker is adorable, and so sweet. Sounds like he's fitting right into the family. Second, I'm so sorry about Jon's job. I hope something new comes along soon, in the meantime, enjoy the extra help with 3 kiddos at home.
I'm sorry too about the job thing. You have a really good attitude about it, I hope things will work themselves out soon. Let me know if there's anything I can do!
I will be praying for you guys. Hopefully something totally awesome and unexpected will come out of this particular trail.
I love the pictures too. That is so sweet that your kids love eachother so much. You can just see the joy on Logan's face! Awwwww! :)
I am so sorry about Jon's job! You will definitely be in my prayers. Your kids are sure cute. I'm so impressed wuth how you manage to see the silver lining. Thank you- you are truly inspiring. I know that sounds like a cheesy thing to say- but I mean it. =)
you guys have such a good attitude. it's times like these when you are extra thankful for the gospel and your faith. it is what sees you through.
If I had a magic wand I would wave it your way...... until then; Keep on keeping on. Somehow, when all is said and done your family will be better because of this trial (I know you already know that hence the good attitude). You all are still in our prayers. The sign looks great by the way and so do the kiddos!
