we used to go to Kansas all the time and visit my dad's grandparents. They lived on a farm and my sister and brother's and I loved going there to play. We would go outside and play all day long until it was time to go to bed. The things I remember most about going there was playing hide-n-seek with the cousins, riding the four-wheelers all around the farm and the pasture, drinking Pepsi (funny I know), holding my great-grandpa's hand, and waking up really early in the morning so we could go outside and play. My great grandparents have since died and we no longer go to the farm, but I have so many wonderful memories of that place. My parents have a cabin in Grand Lake and I would have to say that the cabin is to my kids what the farm was to me. My kids love going there and we were just there last weekend. Logan was so chatty the hole way there. He could not stop talking and I remembered that feeling all too well. The night we got there, it took him forever to go to sleep and then he woke up at 5:45 in the morning. It is so nice to have a place like this to escape too and be as a family. I do love going there.

That is awesome your kids have a place like that to remember when they grow up. I played on my uncle's farm as a kid tii. Fun times.
such fun memories, especially the pepsi. it's strange some of the things we remember from childhood. tiny details that are so vivid. and the nice thing about the cabin for your kids is that you get to go there a lot so you know they will have so many wonderful memories of being there. love the new layout btw! and of course the updated pic of the kids ;)
It's cool to see the childhood memories that are being made for our kids. They'll remember things that we won't even think are important at all. Looks like a fun time!
It is so great to have a place to get away to! And I love the new pic at the top of your blog... priceless
That is so great to realize that you are making your kids precious memories. I am still hoping that while making my kids memories that they can filter out the nagging mom! Its weird to think of your mom and dad as Grandma and Grandpa!
