Merry Christmas....

We wish everyone a Merry Christmas. This Christmas has been different in a few ways and we are so very thankful for friends and family. We love you. We are especially grateful for our Savior, Jesus Christ, who was born and lived and died for us. We know He is always watching out for us and are so grateful for His love.

**Some pics of the kids with their Christmas outfits on-thank you to "Yaya" and Grandpa Hutch!**

****Things that made me smile this week:****

In our church, we have a song called 'Jesus Wants Me For a Sunbeam". Today I was singing it with Kylie and I noticed she was saying "sun-beak" instead of sunbeam. (Doesn't she look like a ray of sunshine in the above picture?:))

Logan came downstairs and told me someone left the light on in the bathroom and then told me "Mom that wastes 'asstricity'"!

I was looking for our stockings and found this one that I had made (yes believe it or not, I made it). My Grandma has a knitting machine and someone had knitted me 2 stockings for Jon and myself a long time ago, so at one point I got together with my Grandma and made one for Logan. She helped me of course! Now, I must say it was my first time and the instructions were horrible. It did turn out a bit deformed, but the memories I have sharing those hours with my Grandma are sure priceless and I am so glad I have them! Thank you Grandma!

Sleeping Beauty

I went in to check on the kids to make sure they were asleep and this is how I found Kylie with her pink shirt over her pajamas. She refers to that shirt as a "la la".

Not sure if I have blogged about this yet but for some reason Kylie calls her dresses and any shirts that flare out, her "la la". I think it is because when she twirls, it flares out. Who knows. Anyways, she LOVES to wear them and would wear them every day if I let her. Since I am such a mean mommy, I do not let her wear them every day. Here is her other favorite one...

Took Parker to his 4 month appointment. He is 15.9lbs. I looked at the other kids records and Logan was the same weight at that age and Kylie was 10 lbs.

Stuff...

I used to be a BIG couponer back before having kids. My friend Sandra was the one who got me started doing coupons. We would try to see who could save more on our grocery bill. She, of course, always won. I sure saved a lot of money and I really would like to try doing it again-although it takes time, and sometimes I find the coupons are for things my family really doesn't eat.
Anyways, I think I am gonna try doing it again. My friend sent me this blog and I just LOVE it-thanks Becky! It really inspires me to try start using the coupons again. Check it out : http://www.moneysavingmom.com/

When we cut down our tree, Jon also let the kids pick out 2 little trees for them. They were so excited to put one in their rooms! Jon made the stands for the kids today so we still need to decorate them.

Thanksgiving '08

We had a great Thanksgiving-despite cleaning up throw up a few times. Thanksgiving Day we spent the day with my family. All of us kids were there and even my Grandma and Grandpa Reid (my mom's parents) came. It was really nice to have them there-they are such sweet people. Every time I am with my Grandma, I always wish I laughed a little bit more. She has such a good sense of humor and laughs all the time. I think that is why she looks so young still.

Can you believe my grandparents have 8 great grandchildren? I think they do not even look old enough to have great grandchildren.

Anyways, we had a lunch with the family then watched Fred Claus later that night. The food and company was great!

Friday we went to the mountains near Conifer to cut down our first real Christmas tree. We went with some friends and Jon's brother's family. It was a lot of fun. The kids loved it too. I am so glad we went. This is our tree we (when I say "we", I mean Jon) cut down....

The kids made a foam Gingerbread house.

Parker hanging out while we are doing the Gingerbread house. He can now hold a toy. At his last appoinment he was 15.9lbs. He is 4 months old now and time just keeps going by faster and faster.
