I love doing that for family night! My kids love it too, only they don't eat the marshmellows, they just like to roast them. It gives me constant heart attacks because I just know one of them is going to go flying off their chairs into the fire one of these days, but they really love it, so we keep doing it.
i really enjoyed having family night with you guys this past monday...around that awesome fire pit! something about a "camp fire" really sets the scene for a wonderful spiritual evening!
We got the fire pit off of craigslist for $25. Thanks for the compliment Maegan-we love the deck too and yes, Jon did build it. He would help Will do it when you get around to it!
