Parker sits and the Stock Show

Well yet another milestone.
Parker sat up for the first time by himself yesterday.
He still will fall over after a bit, but he can do it on his own. Check out his cheeks. Logan had them too.

Just wanted to post a few pics of the stock show. We went last weekend and had a really nice time. The kids loved seeing the animals-notice I said "seeing" and not "touching" the animals. My kids are deathly afraid of dogs-DOGS of all things! So you can imagine if they are scared to touch a dog, they sure as heck will not be touching a llama, cow, horse, etc.

Anyways, we had fun being with the family. I would love it if Logan would do the Mutton Bustin, but I am sure that would not happen either.

Another step showing me he is getting older...

Time sure does fly. I think time has gone by so fast with Parker. Somedays I think it is nice to have Parker growing and progressing, other times it makes me sad to think that it will not be too much longer til he is not a baby.
I have to admit that I have enjoyed Parker as a baby so much more than Kylie and Logan-don't get me wrong, I did enjoy them but not as much as with Parker. I think with Logan I was just paranoid about everything, that I didn't relax. Then with Kylie, she had reflux, so she was a very fussy baby-that in itself made things hard. And now, Parker, is not a fussy baby, the kids love and adore him and he is super patient.
So when he starts eating cereal I have mixed emotions. Sad he is growing, but happy he is growing at the same time. I hope I can cherish all these moments while they last.
So we gave Parker cereal for the first time the other day. He loved it too.

The kids loved feeding him too.

Christmas 2008

We had a wonderful Christmas this year. For Christmas Eve we went to Jon's parent's house for dinner. Dinner was great and then the kids did a reenactment of Jesus' birth. Afterwards, we stopped by my parents for a quick visit.

The kids did not wake up until 8:30 a.m. on Christmas Day. I think we even had to go wake Kylie up because Logan was so excited to open presents. Here are a few pics of the kids with their gifts...Parker opening his gift!

Later that day we went to Jon's parent's house for a brunch. We opened presents and then played some games. Then off to my parent's house so the kids could open their presents from them. It was a wonderful day and we are very grateful to spend it with family.

The day after Christmas we headed up to Grand Lake to spend a few days at my parent's cabin. There was tons of snow and so pretty. That night Santa came to visit the kids.
Mr. and Mrs. Claus

The kids(and when I say kids I mean my husband included) were so excited to go snowmobiling. Here are a few pics...

Logan and Kylie had so much fun playing the Wii.
Kylie loved playing the guitar...and singing.

Logan was getting pretty good at bowling.

Here is Parker watching his brother and sister play. I don't think I have taken a picture of him sucking his thumb yet. I do hope he doesn't get attached to it; I try to plug the binkie in when I see him do it, but for the mean time, I do think he looks cute.

What kids say...

Today we were at Sams Club and Logan saw a man with long hair. He said,
"Mom, look at that guy with long hair."
Then Logan says, "He must live far away and that is why he can't get his hair cut. That is why when I go to the cabin my hair gets really long-because I am so far from somewhere to get it cut".
I just told him that some people like their hair that long. I just think
it's interesting how kids think.
